It has been quiet around here! But I promise you that I have been BUSY behind the camera (and in front of my computer :) ).  I have been trying to work harder and sharing as I go along, so head over to my Facebook page to see more of my work on a daily basis. But first, back to the blog...

Over the winter months, I dove into an online course that I had been wanting to take for quite some time. The Beloved technique has always been something that I wanted to study and bring to my work.  I love how it focuses on evoking genuine feeling and connection in a session. The course was a 6 week intensive study with the creator - Jesh De Rox.  At the end of the course, we were asked to submit work from a Beloved session for critique. What I love about this technique is that it is perfect for any relationship - couples dating, newly engaged, just married, 1 year wedding anniversary, 10 year wedding anniversary all the way up through 50 years of wedded bliss!! And just as it evokes that connection in couples, it does the same thing for families - mother and child, father and child and even siblings.  I am really excited to use the tools for the Beloved technique to create images for your wall that are much more meaningful to you.  And truly, that is the CORE of what I strive to do for each of my clients.

For the course final, I decided to ask my good friends Kara and John to participate in a Beloved couples session with me.  Before the session, I asked them to answer a few questions, it was a great way to open their minds and hearts to reconnect before the session even begun.  I used some of their answers to tailor their session.  We chose the location based on what was important to them and what would make them feel comfortable.
