As I approach the 50th day of my 2016 daily project, I am sharing with you a collage of a grapefruit.  Yes, a grapefruit.  

Some days, my images are just a moment from the day as it is happening.  Other days, I like to think outside the lifestyle box and stretch my creative wings a bit.

As I contemplated what to photograph yesterday morning, I narrowed it down between a self portrait or a grapefruit.  I have not yet documented myself in this project but I also wanted to do something a bit more creative... (and self portraits are not my favorite either.)

So, I picked up my Lensbaby and my macro tubes and figured lets work with a grapefruit.  No matter how long you have been in a creative field, or any field for that matter, you can ALWAYS learn something new.  Try something different.

So I spent a few minutes with a cut grapefruit and this is what I came up with.

Yes, none of these are award winning but I spent the time to figure how I wanted it to look as a finished product.  (The bonus was that my subject was cooperative. ;) )
