Over the fall, I had the opportunity to take a wonderful online workshop with Kelly Chadwick of Kelly Chadwick Photography. During the workshop, I spent time exploring my creative vision and working on some projects that spoke to me.
After reading my friend Katherine Lightner's post, The Art of the Jump Shot, I got this crazy idea that I wanted to have my own jump shots. So for one of the creative projects, I set out to capture me...jumping. I used the camera's timer for every single one of these images. (I found out later that I had a remote that I could have been using, but where would the fun of the trial and error have been ;)) In the comments below, tell me which is your favorite!
Here is the fun I had!
I changed things up a bit with a cart wheel. Bringing back those middle school days!
And since I was having so much fun, I had my son join in.
It was exhausting and my back was killing me after, BUT so well worth the fun. If you are interested in taking your own JUMP images, check out Katherine's tips and tricks and give it a try. I promise, you will have fun doing it!! And be sure to come back and share them with me!
