52 Week Challenge (NL) - Week 4 Family {Orange County New York Fine Art Photography}

The theme for this week is Family.

I knew with the holidays, that my family was not going to be up for another photo so I decided to go in a little different direction.

I decided to take a photo of a set of Russian matryoshka doll's that were given to me as a gift. My family is not Russian but these were the types of toys I would play with while visiting my grandparents.

Here is one of my favorite pictures of my grandparents.

They were married for over 60 years.  My grandmother was the center of my Mom's very large family and it was always a grand party when we would get together. She is always fondly remembered for being so devoted and loving to her family and I hope to pass that along to my children as well.

These dolls represent family to me because they remind of those wonderful times!

As I was trying to set up the dolls, my son was helping out and also had some ideas of his own..  Here are some other pictures I took as he wanted it set up.  Through the eyes of a preschooler!

Sally! This post was AWESOME! I'm loving the ones with your son and his toys! How cute! You have uniquely captured "family" from a true artistic standpoint! LOVE IT!

I love how you captured the reflection of the dolls on the table in the original photo. RJ did a great job helping his Momma! My favorite is the one of his characters on either end, it looks like the two on the right are holding hands. I wish there was a way to pin that photo and your blog to Pintrest...my NEWEST (not 6 months ago like everyone else) obsession...hehe.

I loved seeing the original intent photo and then the evolution with RJ - my favorite is with him looking down the line ending in Batman - BRILLIANT!
